Imaginary Exposure
Imaginary Exposure is particularly suitable for people with clear trauma or fear memories, flashbacks and/or nightmares. It can also be used for persistent thoughts and for rescripting them. In Imaginary Exposure, you mentally revisit a difficult moment in a safe setting together with the therapist. By recalling the memory repeatedly and in a controlled way, anxiety and tension often lessen. This helps to give memories a place and creates more calm in daily life.
